Crispy Okra Patties

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the chopped okra, onion, salt, pepper, water, and beaten egg until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and cornmeal.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
Fry Patties: Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
