Ingredients

For the cake:

• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

• 1 cup butter, softened

• 2 cups of sugar

• 1 cup of milk

• 1 tablespoon of white vinegar

• 4 large eggs

• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the butter glaze:

• 1 cup of sugar

• 1/2 cup butter

• 3 tablespoons of brandy (or water)

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
