Poor Man's Husband Casserole
Cook the 8 ounces of egg noodles according to the package directions. Once cooked, drain and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process and set aside.
Brown the Beef:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook 1 ½ pounds of ground beef until it’s thoroughly browned. Drain the excess grease to keep the dish from becoming too oily.
Flavor the Beef:
Add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine.
Sweeten and Sauce:
Stir in 1 teaspoon of sugar, then pour in the 2 cans (30 ounces) of tomato sauce. Mix everything together and let it simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
